PARAGON ACQUIRES LOWRIE CONSTRUCTIONS Paragon Private Equity has recently acquired Lowrie Constructions. Lowrie builds transportable electrical switch rooms and control rooms for the mining and LNG markets in Australia. The company works directly for major electrical contractors such as ABB, Nilsen and Thyssen Krupp. Paragon Private Equity managing director, and newly appointed Lowrie director, Geoff Thomas said the company was well established in a growing sector. "Effectively the whole LNG area is something that is only just getting going with things like the Gorgon project in WA and others as well," he said. Mr Thomas said there were also opportunities for synergies between Lowrie and another of its investments, SA based Cowell Electric. Paragon was also looking at other acquisitions.
